Yes. That is what Sunny is for. The screen shows big faces and one thing at a time, and Sunny speaks out loud. When Sunny is on Google Play, you install it on the phone the person will use. Then you make a code on your own phone and type it on theirs. Sunny brings in the contacts already on that phone. Family can send photos to the screen any time.
Yes. Sunny gives the person a calm screen with big faces and a few large buttons in place of a busy one. The person using Sunny taps a face to call. One tap reads a message out loud. The person can answer by speaking. There are no menus to get lost in, and nothing for the person to set up.
No. Sunny is for anyone who finds a normal phone too hard. That can be an older adult, a person whose memory or thinking is changing, someone living with Alzheimer's or another dementia, or someone whose illness or injury made a phone harder to use. You pick how simple the screen should be.
Yes. Join the waitlist and pick 'For me'. When Sunny is on Google Play, you install it on your own Android phone. Then you sign in and pick the Solo plan. Sunny brings in the contacts already on that phone. No one else needs to be involved.
Sunny is set up by an adult. Anyone who needs a simpler phone can use it, at any age, and nothing blocks that. Because Sunny includes an AI companion, California law asks us to say that companion chatbots may not be suitable for some minors. The adult responsible for that young person decides.
Sunny Solo: 7 days free, then $9.99 a month (or $99 a year) automatically. Cancel any time in Google Play before day 7. Sunny Family: 7 days free, then $29.99 a month (or $299 a year) automatically. Cancel any time in Google Play before day 7. The Sunny app will be a free install from Google Play. The plan is what you pay for.
Solo is for one person who sets Sunny up alone: the calm screen, one-tap calls, messages read out loud, music, Sunny's voice, and reminders that person sets. Family adds a care circle, reminders the primary caregiver sets from anywhere, photos and moments, a daily note about how the day went, and Safety near home.
On the Solo plan, the person using Sunny manages their own account. On the Family plan, a primary caregiver or a designated primary contact manages the account and gets extra features to support that role.
Yes. Cancel any time in Google Play. Sunny keeps working through the period you paid for.
Sunny is an AI companion: a computer program, not a person. If anyone asks, Sunny says so plainly. It is not a substitute for care from people.
No. Sunny is a companion and a family tool. It does not diagnose, treat, or monitor any condition.
Sunny is not an emergency service and cannot call 911. If the person says something worrying, Sunny sends an alert to the primary caregiver's phone right away and offers to call them. On Sunny Solo there is no caregiver, so Sunny shows the 988 help line on the screen. In an emergency, always call 911.
By default, only the primary caregiver. The care circle sees activity and alerts, never the words. The primary caregiver can switch that on for a member. Messages the person sends to other people stay private.
Only if the primary caregiver turns on Safety near home, which is part of the Family plan. Sunny is their home screen, so it is always on. When this is turned on, Sunny checks where they are about once a minute, and their phone shows a small notice that Sunny shares where they are with their family. The primary caregiver turns it on, and can turn it off any time.
We never use your family's information for ads, and we never sell anything that identifies you or the person using Sunny. The full details, in plain language, are in our Privacy Notice.
The person using Sunny needs an Android phone. It can be the one they already have. Family can help from any phone or computer, iPhone too, in a web browser. The Sunny app will be a free install from Google Play. The plan is what you pay for.
An app. Sunny installs on an Android phone and gives it a calm, simple screen. The phone, the number, and the contacts stay the same.
Only for a family video call. When family drops in, the phone rings and shows who is calling. After a few rings the call connects by itself, so the person does not have to find a button. While the camera is on, their screen says so. The camera is off the rest of the time.
